Geometric Measurement Dependencies

ODTK has the capability to specify measurement bias and white noise values as a tabulated function of measurement geometry. This can be added to the following objects:

Measurement Description

Setting Value Description
Enabled Set to true to specify a file containing geometrically dependent values for the constant bias and/or measurement white noise for specific measurement types. The bias and/or noise values from the indicated geometrically dependent measurement statistics file overrides the nominal measurement statistics when this option is enabled. The bias and/or white noise can be configured to vary with respect to the following variables (not all options apply to all types of trackers):
  • Azimuth (deg)
  • Elevation (deg)
  • Range (m)
  • RangeRate (m)
  • AngleToSun (m)
  • ElevationWrtBoresight (deg)
  • GrazingAltitude (m)

The above list of parameters is generally available for reporting/graphing from the measurement history table, with some dependency on the tracker type. AngleToSun, however, is currently only available for reporting/graphing when this option is enabled. ElevationWrtBoresight is available from GNSS receivers when this option is enabled or when visibility to GNSS satellites is constrained using the boresight relative elevation angle via the MinElevation setting on an antenna attached to the GNSS receiver.

Filename Name of a file whose format follows the Geometrically Dependent Measurement Statistics file format for specifying constant bias and white noise values that are dependent on measurement geometry.
