Standard Object Data Service Details

You can set Standard Object Database preferences from the Data Services preferences page.

Adding a Connection

Click the button to create a database service connection. When you create a connection, the Standard Object Data Service Details window is displayed; this window contains fields described in the following table:

Field Description
Name The name of the connection; this field has no relation to the server name and can be any name that you want.
Description A description of the connection, if desired.
Scheme Select a secure (HTTPS) or unsecure (HTTP) connection scheme from the drop-down menu.
Port The connection port. The port is given a default value that corresponds to the selected connection scheme, but you can manually enter a different port value if required.
Host The connection's domain name.
Path The file path on the host.

Managing Connections

To manage an existing connection, left-click it in the connection list to select it.

Click the button to view and edit the selected connection's properties in the Standard Object Data Service Details window, or click the Use check box to connect to the server.

Click the button to delete the selected connection.
