STK Parallel Computing Licensing

Local Licenses

The following local licenses allow parallel computations using up to eight cores:

STKParallelComputing License

To use more than eight cores, an Ansys HPC license is required. This license has a field that specifies how many cores can be used. This license needs to be deployed on the STK Desktop side, as with any other STK license.

STKParallelComputingServer License

In the case of submitting parallel computations to a cluster with the STK Server Coordinator and Agents, the licensing is handled on the coordinator machine. An Ansys HPC license must be available on the Coordinator to allow STK parallel computing requests to be processed. That license also has a field to specify how many cores can be used on agent machines.
