The Scenario Object

The Scenario object defines the context in which the properties and behavior of other objects are defined. Here you can enter global settings for time, units of measure, graphics attributes, and many other features, some of which can be overridden locally for specific objects.

Basic Properties

Property Description
Analysis Period Define the epoch and start and stop times that apply throughout the scenario. You can override these for certain objects.
Animation Control the animation cycle, animation step definition, and the intervals between refresh updates in the graphics windows.
Units Establish the default settings for all units of measure used for display and data input purposes in a scenario. These settings can be overridden locally for a specific object or class of objects.
Database Set defaults for the City, Facility, Satellite, and Star databases.
Earth Data Select the Earth Orientation Parameters (EOP) file.
Global Attributes Configure the display of warning messages for missiles, satellites, and objects from STK's Aviator capability.
Terrain Import and display terrain elevation data for facility, place and target azimuth-elevation mask and position.
SEET Environment

Set parameters that affect the SEET Radiation Environment, which computes expected dosage rate and accumulated dose (ionizing energy deposition) due to energetic electron and proton particle fluxes for a range of shielding thicknesses and particle energies.

2D Graphics Properties

Property Description
Global Attributes Control certain options relating to the graphical display of objects in the 2D Graphics window, which other objects in the scenario can inherit or override.
Fonts Configure the way small, medium, and large fonts display on your 2D Graphics window.

3D Graphics Properties

Property Description
Global Attributes Control certain options relating to the graphical display of objects in the 3D Graphics window, which other objects in the scenario can inherit or override.
Fonts Configure the way small, medium, and large fonts display on your 3D Graphics window.
SEET Geomagnetic Field

Set parameters that affect the display of the magnetic field and field-line tracings of the magnetic field component STK Space Environment and Effects Tool (SEET).

RF Properties

Property Description
Environment Apply environmental factors that affect the performance of a communications link or a radar system.
Radar Cross Section Specify the radar cross section (RCS) parameters.

LASER Properties

Property Description
Environment Apply environmental factors that affect the performance of a laser communications link.

Aviator

Property Description
Scenario Wind/Atmosphere Models Define the default wind and atmospheric conditions of objects from STK's Aviator capability.
