STK Analysis Workbench Tools

Access Components

When an access is created, a set of Vector Geometry, Time, and Calculation components are created for the access object. For the Vector Geometry and Calculation Tools there are To-From components and also From-To components to provide information on the reverse access. So, if you create the reverse access from the Access Tool, no new components are created, since components for both directions already exist.

This can become confusing on report and graph titles because they may display an access different from what you expect.

The original access object path will always be displayed in:

  • STK's Analysis Workbench capability
  • The Report & Graph Manager object list
  • The window title bar of a report or graph generated from the Report & Graph Manager
  • The report or graph of an Access component

For a report or graph of Access or AER data:

  • The window title bar of a report or graph generated from the Access Tool will display the path of the last created access (which may be a reverse access).
  • The object name in the report or graph header, whether generated from the Report & Graph Manager or the Access Tool, will always be the path of the last created Access (which may be a reverse access).

When a report/graph section contains elements of *both* Access (AER Data, etc) and Access Component (Vector, Axes, etc) data providers, the report or graph header will always display the original access path, but the Access report (Access, AER, etc) numbers will be correct for the last created access.
