Objectives

Return to Plot Options Menu

Use the Objectives menu option to set weighted values for design variables. Use in combination with the "Preference Shading" option for the Color, Opacity, and Size fields on the Dimensions tab.

Some controls only appear for certain plots or with certain options selected. Also, some plots cannot use Objectives at all; these plots will have a note in the top banner.

Control Name	Use/Options
Variable Name	Lists the design and response variables set in the trade study.
Slider/text	Shows the value set in the trade study. Change the limit by either entering a value in the text box or dragging the slider.
Dock	Closes the Objectives panel and opens the selected variable control panel at the bottom of the plot so that the whole plot can be seen while the constraint is changed. If the Objectives panel is opened while a variable is docked, the control panel for that variable displays as shown below. Return -- reinserts the selected variable in the Objectives panel. Can be accessed from the docked variable or from the Constraints panel.
