OrbitWizard

Define a satellite or missile using the Orbit Wizard options.

Syntax

OrbitWizard <VehObjectPath> {Type} [{Options}]

Description

Valid values for {Type} are: Circular, CriticallyInclined, CriticallyInclinedSunSync, Geosynchronous, Molniya, RepeatingGroundTrace, RepeatingSunSync, SunSynchronous, OrbitDesigner.

{Options} for each {Type} are described in the tables below.

The following table describes Graphics {Options} that can be entered for any {Type}:

Graphics {Options}Description
Color {Color}Specify the color for the satellite orbit and ground tracks. For valid {Color} options see Common Options.
ModelFile "<ModelFile>"Specify the model file for the satellite. Model files must have .mdl or .dae file extension.

"<ModelFile>" can be the path to a file on your local drive or the path to a file on an SDF server. See Specifying Paths for "<SDFFilePath>" syntax information.

TimePeriod {TimeInterval}For valid {TimeInterval} options see Time Options

The following tables describe the {Options} for each {Type}.

Some minimum and maximum values are based on the Satellite's CentralBody, as such some of the values below will be the approximate values for Satellites on Earth.
