SetPosition DataReference

Specify the reference coordinate system for incoming ephemeris data.

Syntax

SetPosition <ObjectPath> DataReference "<TruncObjectPath> <CrdnName>"

Description

The SetPosition command with the DataReference {PositionType} allows you to specify the reference coordinate system for incoming ephemeris data. The reference coordinate system specified using the <CrdnName> must already exist.

<TruncObjectPath> is the truncated path of the parent object followed by a space and the <CrdnName>, all in quotes. For example: "Satellite/attSat Body", specifies the Body system of attSat. If specifying the Crdn of a central body, include the truncated path of the central body followed by a space and the <CrdnName>, all in quotes. For example: "CentralBody/Earth Inertial".

You can define references coordinate systems using the VectorTool command.

An object's Data Reference can not be its own coordinate system.

Examples

To specify the ECI coordinate system to be used as the data reference for Satellite1:

SetPosition */Satellite/Satellite1 DataReference "CentralBody/Earth Inertial"

To specify a coordinate system that is registered to Facility1:

SetPosition */Satellite/Satellite1 DataReference "Facility/Facility1 TestRef"
