New User Install Issues

When an STK Engine application is launched for the first time, the license agreement and New User Setup dialog box (shown below) appears.

To avoid display of this message box, perform the following steps.

  1. Create the registry entries shown in the table below with appropriate values. All registry entries are of the type REG_SZ.
  2. Registry Key Value

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\AGI\STK\11.0\UserHome <STK user area>
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\AGI\STK\11.0\ConfigDir <STK user area>\Config
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\AGI\STK\11.0\STKGenDb <STK install folder>\STKData\Databases
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\AGI\STK\11.0\ MSGP4 <STK install folder>\STKData\Databases\Satellite

  3. Create the following directories if they do not exist.

    <STK user area>\Config

    <STK user area>\Config\Logs

    <STK user area>\Config\HtmlFavorites

    <STK user area>\Config\HtmlFavorites\Images

    <STK user area>\Prefs
