Additional Radar Constraints

Bistatic Constraints

If your radar is set up as bistatic, the Bistatic page is available to you. If your radar is monostatic, you will not see a Bistatic page under the radar's Constraints properties, because bistatic constraints are active only for bistatic radars. The Bistatic page provides an option regarding the enforcement of access constraints between the transmitter and receiver and a provision for setting minimum and maximum values for the bistatic angle. While other access constraints are always enforced between the bistatic transmitter and the target/receiver, radar-specific constraints defined for a bistatic transmitter do not constrain access for the radar using it.

The Bistatic constraint options are as follows:

Option Description
Enforce Access Constraints (Radar to Transmitter) Bistatic radars typically require a method of synchronizing the receiver to the transmitter. Turning on this constraint will enforce any non radar-specific access constraint between the transmitter and receiver.
Bistatic Angle This parameter defines the minimum and maximum angles between the target's line of sight to the receiver and its line of sight to the transmitter. Select Min and/or Max and enter appropriate value(s).
