Testing an Articulation

Some models contain articulated (movable) parts such as steerable solar panels or the doors on the Space Shuttle. In these cases, you can temporarily change the position of the parts to test an articulation.

To test an articulation:

  1. Select Articulations ... from the Edit menu.
  2. To temporarily adjust a transformation, select it and then modify the value by using the slider or entering a specific value.

For models with only one level of detail, the LOD options have no effect. If the Articulations list is empty, the model has no movable parts.
