Working with Graphs
You can enhance and supplement a static or strip chart graph using the buttons and right-click menu. To save, print, copy, refresh, save the graph as a quick report, or save changes to the graph style, use the buttons at the top of the graph window. To modify the graphics and layout settings, right-click the graph to see the available options.
Graphs can be floated, integrated or docked. To select one of these options, right-click the title bar.
Graph Fields

Step
|
The graph step time. Click inside the field to change the graph step time. Select the Units button to display a drop down menu. Select Format... to display the Format Dialog or select from the list of available time step formats.
The displayed Step size value may not be the value used when generating the actual data in the graph. To refresh the graph, re-enter the Step size value or add a new value. |

Show Step Value | Step: Using object's default points | This button displays when use default time points is selected under Time Properties on the Report & Graph Manager. To change the step value for the graph, click the Show Step Value button and edit the Step value. |
Graph Pop-up Menu Items
In addition to the graph buttons, you can right-click the graph to display a pop-up menu that allows you to control a number of aspects of the graph.

Set Graph Time

Show Animation Time Line
|
Toggle on or off the display of a time line that tracks the current time across the graph when the scenario is animated. |
Set Animation Time
|
Sets the current scenario time to the time at the current cursor selection point. Set Animation Time options specific to interval graphs include:

Create Time Instant
|
Select from the pop-up menu items to create a new time instant.

Create Time Interval...
|
Creates a time interval using the interval at the current cursor selection point. Upon selection the Create Time Interval window displays. Click OK to accept the automatically created name or rename the time interval and then click OK. |
Refresh
|
Refresh the graph to display any changes. |
Hide Toolbar
|
View the graph without the toolbar displayed. |
Change Angle Range
|
Select between angle ranges of 0 - 360° and -180 - 180°. |
Set Y, Y2 Scale Equal
|
Set the left and right axis to the same scale. |
Font Size
|
Set the graph font size to Large, Medium, or Small. |
Legend Style
|
Hide the graph legend or display the graph legend in a number of different positions on the graph. |
Grid Options
|
Hide or show horizontal grid bands and grid lines on the graph. Select from a number of options for displaying grid lines and selecting their display style. |
Include Data Labels
|
Display data labels on the graph. |
Mark Data Points
|
Display data points on the graph. |
Show Annotations
|
Toggle annotations, such as Day Lines and the Animation Time Line, on and off. |
Undo Zoom
|
Zoom out to the original graph view. |
Customization Dialog...
|
Displays a dialog with multiple tabbed windows that allow for the customization of different aspects of the graph. The tabbed windows include:
Select the Export... button to display the Export Dialog. Select the Maximize button to grow the graph to the size of the screen. Changes made in the Customization Dialog are not saved to the graph style, so changes will be lost if the graph is recreated. |
