Introduction

STK Test and Evaluation Tool Kit (TETK) is a suite of tools designed to support the test and evaluation activities of a mission life cycle across multiple domains including aircraft, satellites, missiles, maritime, and ground vehicles, and ground facilities. It is designed to assist from test plan creation through mission briefing and mission execution to post-test analysis and verification.

Test Plan Creation

Build and validate more detailed tests by using STK’s high fidelity platform performance models, propagators, line-of-sight analysis, and STK's Communications and Radar analysis tools. With these tools, you can construct various test geometries and evaluate the expected Measures of Performance (MOPs). Coordinate the timing and position of all dynamic and stationary test assets (ownship, wingmen, refuel tankers, satellites, ground targets or emitters, etc.) by simulating them in a common environment that includes local terrain and atmospheric models. TETK provides you with a much better understanding of more efficient ways to achieve the desired MOPs with the assets available.

Mission Briefing

Improve the ability to communicate test objectives to all participants with visualizations of key test points along the flight. STK analysis products, such as dynamic data displays, color contoured flight lines, and sensor volume displays, help to highlight concepts in an intuitive and easy to understand manner. Use the STK 3D animation environment to review the flight plan and highlight specific areas of interest, relative positioning of key members of the test, and the flow of events through time. TETK as a briefing tool allows you to demonstrate test execution in a highly flexible and technical display environment.

Mission Execution

Integrate disparate feeds to provide comprehensive common pictures of test execution. Analyze and visualize performance of mission systems, range assets, GIS data, etc. Make better decisions faster through interactive decision-aide graphics. Gain real-time test situational awareness and provide assessment of test point accomplishment through streaming of system position and performance data into STK for an accelerated quick-look playback, and re-plan on the fly. TETK as a mission execution tool allows you to assess system performance real-time and re-plan to adapt to changes and execute secondary test objectives.

Post-test Analysis

Increase understanding of post-test events extracted from the collection of data generated in each test. TETK provides tools to import data from user-specific file formats, displays it in a time dynamic 3D environment, and evaluates the various measures of performance. Existing flight analysis workflows include drawing sensors and track measurements in 3D space, finding specific events in the data, comparing geometric results from various sources, and identifying targets from measurements. TETK flight analysis not only provides a much quicker way to gain an understanding of the test results, but it also provides troubleshooting tools to understand anomalies in the data.
