Launch Window Analysis Tool

The Launch Window Analysis tool is a part of STK's Conjunction Analysis (CAT) capability for Launch Vehicles and Missiles. Use it to check an entire launch window for safe and unsafe launch intervals. The tool uses a patented solution method to perform the analysis efficiently since potential conjunction events occur over short durations of mere seconds and launch windows are frequently hours long.

To achieve the efficiency needed to deliver accurate and timely results, the tool transforms the analysis reference frame from Inertial to Earth-fixed, and the reference time from civil time to Mission Elapsed Time (MET). For this reason, the Launch Window Analysis tool is ideal for a launch to orbit scenario, but is inappropriate for calculating orbital conjunction assessments.

The speed and accuracy of the Launch Window Analysis tool allow you to make plans in advance, continually update results, and easily account for changes to launch trajectory design and launch window resets. Also, the tool offers the advantage that it can be used very close to the start of the launch window, using the best available data at that time for the best prediction accuracy.
