Radar Graphics Options
A radar's 2D Graphics properties include two pages providing options for the display of radar access lines and reflection points in the 2D Graphics window.
For graphics options involving a target, you must compute Access from the radar system to the target in order for the desired access line or reflection point to display. In the case of a bistatic system, it is sufficient to compute access from the bistatic radar to the target in order for transmitter-to-target and bistatic receiver-to-target graphics to display.
Radar Access Graphics
The Access page of a radar's 2D Graphics properties enables you to control the display of radar access lines in the 2D Graphics window. Also, you can display SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) contours.
Option |
Description |
SNR Contours |
To display SNR Contours, select Show, choose between Single Pulse and Integrated, and specify the SNR value. A contour will display at the altitude of the target selected for access. When the target is inside the contour, the SNR value is exceeded; when the target is outside the contour, the SNR value is not met. The contour will dynamically shrink and expand if a target is defined with aspect-dependent RCS. For monostatic radars, the contours are circular; for bistatic systems, the SNR contours represent Cassini ovals (i.e. are not necessarily circular). |
Radar-Tgt Graphics |
Select the color to display for access between a radar and its selected target. |
Xmtr-Tgt Graphics |
For a bistatic system, opt whether to display access between the bistatic transmitter and the radar system's target. If you opt to display access, select the desired color, line style, and line width for the display. |
Xmtr-Rcvr Graphics |
For a bistatic system, opt whether to display access between the bistatic transmitter and receiver. If you opt to display access, select the desired color, line style and line width for the display. |
Clutter |
To display radar clutter, select Enable and choose the display color of the clutter points. The computed clutter points are displayed in both the 2D and 3D Graphics windows. |
Multipath Graphics
The Multipath page of the radar 2D Graphics Properties window gives you control over the display of radar reflection points in the 2D Graphics window.
Option |
Description |
Radar-Tgt Reflection Point |
This frame, if enabled, lets you set the Color and Marker style of the dynamically displayed ground reflection point between the radar system and the target. It is available for both monostatic and bistatic radar systems. For a bistatic system, it controls the display of the reflection point between the bistatic receiver and the target. |
Xmtr-Tgt Reflection Point |
This option is applicable only to a bistatic system. If enabled, it allows you to display reflection points between the bistatic transmitter and the target. Select the Color and Marker style in which the points are to be displayed. |
Xmtr-Rcvr Reflection Point |
This option is applicable only to a bistatic system. If enabled, it allows you to display reflection points between the bistatic transmitter and receiver. Select the Color and Marker style in which the points are to be displayed. |
