Bistatic Constraints
The Radar Bistatic constraints category is available to you if your scenario has both of the following:
- One Radar object is defined as a Bistatic Receiver that is attached to a ground or vehicle object.
- Another Radar object is defined as either a Bistatic Transmitter or a Monostatic Transmitter that is attached to a different ground or vehicle object.
The Radar Bistatic constraints category only appears on the Bistatic Receiver Radar object. The Radar Bistatic category provides an option about the enforcement of access constraints between the transmitter and receiver and a provision for setting minimum and maximum values for the bistatic angle. While other access constraints are always enforced between the bistatic transmitter and the target/receiver, radar-specific constraints defined for a bistatic transmitter do not constrain access for the radar using it.
The Radar Bistatic constraints are as follows:
Constraint | Description |
---|---|
Bistatic Angle | This constraint defines the minimum and maximum angles between the target's line of sight to the receiver and its line of sight to the transmitter. Enter appropriate Min and/or Max value(s). |
Enforce Access Constraints (Radar to Transmitter) | Bistatic radars typically need a method of synchronizing the receiver to the transmitter. Applying this constraint will enforce any access constraints between the transmitter and receiver that are NOT radar specific. |
