Update Spacecraft Parameters RPO Sequence

The Update Spacecraft Parameters RPO sequence updates some important spacecraft parameters including:

  • drag coefficient
  • solar radiation pressure (SRP) coefficient
  • drag area
  • SRP area
  • dry mass
  • fuel mass

 

If the parameters for the target and chase satellites are different, then the forces acting on them will have unequal effects (differential forces).

The following picture shows an initial state on the VBar with matched force models and propagated for one rev. Then the dry mass is decremented 150 kg on the chase satellite and propagated for another rev.
