Event Log
The Event Log is a list of all event-related actions (e.g., triggered or dismissed alerts) that have occurred in any real-time scenario; unlike the Event Manager, the Event Log is preserved when STK is closed, so that it offers a complete history of real-time events. It consists of User-Defined Events created using the Display Manager as well as events that are generated directly from a data source. The event Time, Code, Source, Entity, and Description are shown in the grid. In addition, the Activity field indicates what happened to the event at the time that the log entry was made (e.g., the event was tripped, or was dismissed).
To view detailed information about an event or to clear the log, you can right-click an event in the list and select from the following menu commands:
- Event Details - Display the event description and the IDs of the entities that triggered the event.
- Clear Log - Clear the entire log; this action is permanent.
- Refresh - Refresh the display; the display of the Event Log does not automatically refresh while it is open.
