Managing Styles

Map Styles Tool

Use the button on the 2D Graphics toolbar to open the Map Styles tool where you can store 2D map styles and switch among them. The table at the top of the Map Styles tool lists all views that have been saved as map styles and the scenario time associated with each style.

Managing Styles

The options in the Map Styles tool will assist you in managing map styles in the 2D Graphics windows.

Add Map Styles

  1. Make sure that the view in the 2D Graphics window is exactly the way you want it to be including all 2D Graphics properties.
  2. If the Map Styles tool is not already open, click on the 2D Graphics toolbar.
  3. Click New.

When you store a 2D Graphics view as a map style, that style includes all of the properties associated with that window; therefore, it is important to make sure that you manipulate the view and set all properties exactly the way you want them before saving or modifying a view as a map style.

A new style will be created with a default name of MapStyle followed by a sequential identifier that indicates the number of unnamed views in the list (e.g., MapStyle0, MapStyle1, MapStyle2, etc.).

Modify Map Styles

  1. Make the needed changes to the view in the 2D window.
  2. Select the style of interest in the table.
  3. Click Modify.

Rename Map Styles

  1. Double-click the name of the style that you want to rename in the Map Styles list to make it editable.
  2. Edit the name of the Style by typing directly in the table field.

Delete Map Styles

  2. Click Delete.

Select Stored Map Styles

  1. Click on the 2D Graphics toolbar to open the Map Styles tool.
  2. Select the style of interest in the Map Style list.
  3. Click OK or Apply.
