Properties for the 2D Graphics Window

Time Display

The 2D Graphics Time Display page enables you to display the animation time in the 2D Graphics window and set the animation time display options.

Animation Time

To display the animation time, check Show and set the following display options.

X Pixel Position, Y Pixel Position. Specify the pixel offsets at which the animation time displays. Positive values for X and Y correspond to offsets from the left and top of the window while negative values correspond to offsets from the right and bottom of the window.

Text. Select the color and translucency in which the scenario time displays.

Background. If enabled, specify the color and translucency to be displayed in the background of the time display.

Animation Time Placement Examples

The following examples place the animation time in a particular area on the 2D graphics map.

X and Y Values Position Displayed
X = 15, Y = 15 Top left corner
X = 15, Y = -15 Bottom left corner
X = -155, Y = 15 Top right corner
X = -155, Y = -15 Bottom right corner

A negative X value measures from the right edge of the window to the beginning of the time message. Therefore, a negative X value has to be larger than the X, Y, and negative Y values (for example, -155 instead of -15) to accommodate the length of the time display.
