Properties for the 2D Graphics Window

2D Graphics Resolution

The 2D Graphics Resolution properties page enables you to set up an inverse relationship between viewing altitude and map resolution for the 2D Graphics window.

To set the altitude level for each resolution level:

  1. Enable Use.
  2. Use the text box or slider to the right of each field to set the minimum viewing altitude for each resolution level.
A typical setting uses:
  • Very low resolution for viewing altitudes above 10,000 km
  • Low resolution for altitudes between 50 km and 10,000 km
  • Medium resolution for altitudes between 10 km and 50 km
In most instances, medium to high resolution and above are needed only if you are zooming in on a section of the map.

Processing speed is affected if you are displaying STK High Resolution maps. If the 2D Graphics window is updating too slowly, consider decreasing map resolution.
