Custom Sensor Pattern Files

You can use three different formats for defining a custom sensor pattern for use with a sensor attached to vehicle, facility, place, or target in STK.

Pattern Format Description
Reference Plane Format Create a custom sensor pattern that is defined by the intersection of the sensor's projection with a plane perpendicular to the sensor's reference direction (boresight) at a specified distance from the origin of the sensor.
Az-El Mask Format Create a custom sensor pattern that is defined by azimuth and elevation angles. Azimuth is measured in the XY plane of the sensor about its boresight. It is right-handed for space-based sensors and left-handed for ground-based sensors. Elevation is defined as the angle above the XY plane of the sensor, with its boresight being 90 degrees.
Angle-Off-Boresight Format The angle-off-boresight format is an alternative to the reference plane format and provides for the direct input of elevation sweep angles and forward and aft sweep angles.

The Az-El Mask Format is not the same as the Az-El Mask file. The Az-El Mask file has an .aem extension and is based on the parent body, not the sensor.
