Description

The Description page for an object is a handy place to record miscellaneous information about the object and its role in your analytical or operational task. Two text fields are provided:

Description Options

Option	Description
Short Description	A one-line entry briefly describing the object, such as "environmental monitoring satellite" or "NASA tracking station/launch site".
Long Description	More detailed information about the object and its purpose.
Metadata	Used to customize the STK Data Federate (SDF) search functionality. If you save this object to the SDF, you can define additional search terms for this object using metadata. To add metadata for this object, click the Add button, enter a Key identifier, and add the metadata text.

When objects are introduced via STK databases, positional and other information is automatically written to the Long Description field.
