Multi-Track Object - Modify Track 3D Graphics Data

The Modify Track 3D Graphics Data panel is used to define the 3D graphics attributes of the selected track or tracks.

General Fields

Field Description
Track Displays the Id of the selected track.
Show Enable to display the track in the 3D Graphics window.

Marker

The Marker frame contains controls for defining a marker and its appearance characteristics for the selected track in the 3D Graphics window.

Option Description
Marker Enable to select a marker style from the drop-down menu.
Image File Enable to select an image file to use as the marker. Click the ellipsis button to browse to the file.
Transparent Enable to render an image file transparently. The color of the lower left pixel of the image will be selected as the transparent color. All pixels in the image of that color are not drawn.
Pixel Size Define the pixel size of the marker. Markers do not resize as the window size is changed.
Rotate Define the angle at which the marker will rotate, in a counterclockwise direction.
Rotate Angle Relative to North Enable to set the rotation angle relative to north. By default, the rotation angle is relative to the screen. This option is unavailable if the Rotate to Follow Velocity Vector option has been enabled.
Rotate to Follow Velocity Vector Enable to set the marker to rotate to maintain a facing in the direction of the entity's velocity, after performing the initial rotation to the input angle specified for the Rotate parameter.
X Origin Define the horizontal point of origin for the marker.
Y Origin Define the vertical point of origin for the marker.

Point

The Point frame contains controls for enabling and disabling the display of a point and changing its display size.

Option Description
Show Select this check box to display the point; clear it to hide the point.
Size Enter an integer in the range 1-10 to specify the size in which the point displays.

Model

The Model frame contains controls for selecting a model file and defining its appearance characteristics for the selected track in the 3D Graphics window.

Option Description
Show Enable to use a model to represent the track in the 3D Graphics window.
Model File Specify the model file to be used for the track. Click the ellipsis button to browse to the file.
Log Scale Specify the exponential scaling value for the model.
Initial Bearing Specify the initial bearing of the model, relative to north.
Z Points toward Nadir Enable to orient the model as an aircraft, or disable to orient the model as a surface vehicle.

Label Offset

The Label Offset frame contains controls for setting the display of the label for the selected track in the 3D Graphics window.

Option Description
Use Enable to specify the position of the track's label relative to the track
Frame Select either Cartesian or Pixel to define the format in which the offset will be expressed.
X Enter a positive number to offset the label to the right or a negative number to offset it to the left.
Y Enter a positive number to offset the label up or a negative number to offset it down.
Z Enter a positive number to offset the label out of the screen or a negative number to offset it deeper into the screen.

Swap Distances

The Swap Distances frame contains controls for specifying the visible ranges for the selected track's label, model, and marker in the 3D Graphics window.

Option Description
Use Enable to set swap distances.
Show label from Specify the minimum and maximum distances from the viewer reference point at which the track label is visible.
Show model from Specify the minimum and maximum distances from the viewer reference point at which the track model is visible.
Show marker from Specify the minimum and maximum distances from the viewer reference point at which the track marker is visible.
Show point from Specify the minimum and maximum distances from the viewer reference point at which the track point is visible.

Line

The Line frame contains the control for specifying whether the trailing line fades over time or remains opaque in the 3D Graphics window.

Option Description
Fade Trailing Line over Trail Time Enables the ability to fade the trailing line for a multi-track object from the position of the object to the end of the track when the 2D Trail Time option is used. The position of the object will have no translucency while the end time of the track (current time - trail time) will be completely transparent. Translucency will linearly increase from the object position to the end of the track line. If the trail time is not used, the trailing line will remain opaque.
