Stored View Tool

Use on the 3D Graphics toolbar to open the Stored View tool where you can store views for both 3D Graphics and Attitude View windows.

When you store a view, that view includes all of the 3D window properties and the window position and direction settings. Therefore, it is important to make sure that you manipulate the view and set all properties exactly the way you want them before saving or modifying a view.

You can have one Stored Views window open for each 3D Graphics window and each Attitude View window. The selections available in the Stored Views window depend on whether the window is a 3D Graphics window or an Attitude View window. Stored 3D Graphic views are only available for 3D Graphics windows and stored Attitude views are only available for Attitude windows.

The HomeView is the default view. You can modify the HomeView but you cannot delete it, nor can you reorder it in the list.

A new view is created with a default name of view followed by a sequential identifier that indicates the number of unnamed views in the list (e.g., view0, view1, view2, etc.). To edit a view name, double-click it in the table to make it editable.

Maintain Time Ordered List. If selected, stored views will remain ordered by time. The Up and Down arrow buttons and sort by column header functions are disabled if you select this option.

Set Current Time to View's Time. If selected, updates the animation time to the stored time. If not selected, the time remains the same but the view updates.

Use View's Image Sets. If selected, when switching to a stored view, the image sets will change to the state that they were in when the stored view was created or modified. If not selected, the state of the image sets will not change when switching to a stored view.

Use Smooth Transitions. If selected, provides a more visually appealing transition between stored views.

You can also step through stored views using the and (Display Previous and Next Stored View) buttons on the 3D Graphics toolbar.
