Properties for the 3D Graphics Window - Grids

Use to control the display of celestial and space grids in the 3D window.

Celestial Grid

Defines the display of right ascension and declination lines in the 3D Graphics window.

Show. Projects right ascension and declination lines onto a sphere surrounding the Earth.

Color. The color of the grid lines. To change the color, click the down arrow and select a color.

Show Labels. Displays azimuth-elevation values display using the same color as the grid lines.

Space Grid

Specifies the space grids that display in the 3D Graphics window. Space grids can aid in accurately interpreting distances between objects in space.

Show Radial Lines. Displays the space grid as radial lines originating from the center of the Earth.

ECI Coordinates or CBI Coordinates

Defines ECI coordinates for the earth and CBI coordinates for any other celestial body.

Show. For ECI Coordinates, the space grid is displayed along the equatorial plane in the Earth-Centered inertial coordinate system.

For CBI Coordinates, the grid is displayed in the selected central body's inertial coordinate system.

Color. The color of the grid lines. To change the color, click the down arrow and select a color.

Ecliptic Coordinates

Show. Displays a space grid in the plane of the ecliptic.

Color. The color of the grid lines. To change the color, click the down arrow and select a color.

Annotation

Displays the distance between grid points in the 3D Graphics window.

Show Grid Spacing. Annotates the distance between grid points.

Size. The text size for the annotations. To change the text size, click the down arrow and select a size.

Color. The text color for the annotations. To change the color, click the down arrow and select a color.

X, Y. The X,Y location at which the annotations display, where (0,0) is defined as the lower left corner of the 3D Graphics window.
