VO Grids

Control the display of celestial and space grids in the 3D window

Syntax

VO <ScenarioPath> Grids {GridType} {DisplayOption} <Value>

Description

The VO Grids command allows you to control the display of celestial and space grids in the 3D window. {GridType} can be:

{GridType}Description
CelestialDefines the display of right ascension and declination lines in the 3D Graphics window.
SpaceSpecifies the space grids that display in the 3D Graphics window. Space grids can aid in accurately interpreting distances between objects in space.

If {GridType} is Celestial, valid {DisplayOption} <Value> combinations are:

{DisplayOption}<Value>Description
Show{On | Off}Projects right ascension and declination lines onto a sphere surrounding the Earth.
Color{Color}The color of the grid lines. For valid {Color} options see Common Options.
ShowLabel{On | Off}Displays azimuth-elevation values display using the same color as the grid lines.
WindowID<WinNumber>The number of the window where you wish the grids to display. If not entered the first 3D Graphics window will be used.

If {GridType} is Space, valid {DisplayOption} <Value> combinations are:

{DisplayOption}<Value>Description
ShowECI{On | Off}For ECI Coordinates, the space grid displays along the equatorial plane in the Earth-Centered inertial coordinate system.
ECIColor {Color}The color of the ECI space grid lines. For valid {Color} options see Common Options.
ShowEcliptic {On | Off}Displays a space grid in the plane of the ecliptic.
EclipticColor {Color}The color of the ecliptic space grid lines. For valid {Color} options see Common Options.
ShowRadial {On | Off}Displays the space grid as radial lines originating from the center of the Earth.
ShowAnnotation{On | Off}Annotates the distance between grid points in the 3D Graphics window.
AnnotationSize{Small | Medium | Large}The text size for the annotations.
AnnotationColor{Color}The color of the ecliptic space grid lines. For valid {Color} options see Common Options.
AnnotationX<XValue>A real numbers between 0 and 10000.0 representing the X,Y location at which the annotations display, where (0,0) is defined as the lower left corner of the 3D Graphics window.
AnnotationY<YValue>
WindowID<WinNumber>The number of the window where you wish the grids to display. If not entered the first 3D Graphics window will be used.

In order to see an Annotation, either ShowECI or ShowEcliptic must be turned On.
