SEET Particle Distribution Fluence

Computes the fluence (i.e., the flux integrated over time) for the distribution of mass particles that are used to model meteoroid and debris particulates. Valid for vehicles whose central body is earth.

Available for these objects: LaunchVehicle, Missile, Satellite

Type: Time-varying data. Intended to be used only with elements from this same data provider.

NameDimensionTypeDescription
MassMassReal NumberMass of the satellite.
Log(Mass g)UnitlessReal NumberThe base-10 logarithm of the mass value when expressed in grams.
Impact fluenceFluenceReal NumberThe integrated flux over the requested time interval for the particle. The integration is performed using Simpson's rule using a step size based upon the specified step size, adjusted to insure that an even number of steps is taken (as is required for Simpson's rule to be used).
ImpactsUnitlessReal NumberThe number of impacts over the requested time interval, found by multiplying the cross sectional area by the impact fluence.
