Reports

Name Description
Access Duration A report of the coverage properties and the cumulative distribution of the access durations of all grid points. For each grid point, access intervals to each assigned asset are combined to determine the time intervals over which at least one asset has access to the grid point. The durations of these intervals, for all grid points, are then sorted from smallest to largest. Up to 101 samples will be reported.
Coverage By Asset A report of the coverage properties and the min/max/mean/accumulated percentage of the gridded area covered provided by individual assets.

Values are computed by first sampling all grid points over time, using a 60 second step, to determine those points that have access to the asset. The areas corresponding to those points are then summed, with the percentage of the total area having access to the asset at that time being computed. Min/max/mean statistics are computed from these time samples and reported. The accumulated coverage is the cumulative percentage of accessible area.

Coverage By Latitude A report of the coverage properties and the coverage for each latitude in the selected range (-90 degrees to 90 degrees if Global Coverage is chosen), at intervals depending on the selected resolution. A point is considered to be covered if it has access to one or more of the assigned assets. The reported values for each latitude are the average value for all grid points at that latitude.
GI Point Coverage Access information for the point currently selected by the grid inspector showing access intervals to assets.
GI Point Daily Coverage Reports the percent time covered for the point currently selected by the grid inspector, reported on a per day basis.
GI Point Prob Of Coverage The probability of coverage for the point selected in the grid inspector being achieved as a function of the time past a request for coverage.

In other words, if you request coverage of the point now, what is the probability that you will have visibility to the point within the next hour, the next six hours or the next day. The probability that coverage is achieved at the instant of the request is the same as the percentage of time that the point is covered. Thus, if the point is covered 20% of the time, then the point will be covered at the time of request 20% of the time, which means that 20% of the time the wait for coverage will be zero. The point has a 100% probability of coverage at a time from request that equals the maximum coverage gap for the point. If the maximum coverage gap for a point is 30 minutes, then the worst case request for coverage would occur at the beginning of the 30 minute coverage gap. In that case, after 30 minutes have elapsed since the time of the request, you are guaranteed to have coverage of the point. A point is considered to be covered if it has access to one or more of the assigned assets.

GI Region Coverage The amount of the region selected by the grid inspector which is covered as a function of time. A region is considered to be covered if at least one point within the region has access to one or more of the assigned assets.
GI Region Full Coverage The intervals of time when the region selected by the grid inspector is completely covered. The region is considered to be completely covered when all points within the region are covered. A point is covered when it has access to some asset.
GI Region Partial Coverage The intervals of time when the region selected by the grid inspector is partially covered. A region is considered to be covered if at least one point within the region has access to one or more of the assigned assets.
GI Region Pass Coverage The intervals of time when each asset can provide coverage to the region selected by the grid inspector.

The access start and end times are computed based on the concatenation of the access intervals of the points within the region.

In addition to the access periods and associated assets, the percentage of the region covered during each pass is also reported.

GI Region Spliced Pass The intervals of time when each asset can provide coverage to the region selected by the grid inspector.

Reported intervals are generated by "splicing" together the access intervals from the contained points to remove coverage gaps resulting from a mismatch of the asset coverage area and the grid spacing. Access intervals from multiple grid points to a single asset are spliced if those intervals lie with the same line of sight interval from the asset to the region.

This data provider is useful if the field of view for the assets is smaller than the coverage definition grid spacing to avoid many short passes.

GI Region Time To Cover Reports the amount of wait time required, starting from the reported time, before complete coverage of the region selected in the grid inspector occurs. A region is considered to be completely covered if all points within the region have had access to at least one of the assigned assets.
Gap Duration A report of the coverage properties and the cumulative distribution of the access duration gaps of all grid points. For each grid point, access intervals to each assigned asset are combined to determine the time intervals over which at least one asset has access to that grid point. The durations of the gaps between these intervals, for all grid points, are then sorted from smallest to largest. Up to 101 samples will be reported.
Gaps in Global Coverage A report of the coverage properties and all time intervals during which at least one point in a coverage grid is in a coverage gap. A point is considered to be in a coverage gap if it does not have access any of the assigned assets.
Global Coverage A report of the coverage properties and the time intervals during which every point in a coverage grid is covered. A point is considered to be covered if it has access to one or more of the assigned assets.
Grid Point Information Geodetic positions of grid points and the finite areas represented by the grid points. Each grid point is centered in a latitude/longitude rectangle where the size of the rectangle is based on the requested grid resolution.
Grid Point Visible Assets Reports geodetic positions of grid points and a list of the assets that have access to that grid point at some time during the analysis interval.
Percent Coverage A report of the coverage properties and the percentage of the area of the total coverage grid which is covered at the reported time.
Time To Cover By Region A report of the coverage properties and the minimum, maximum and average times required for the complete coverage of each region. A region is considered to be completely covered if all points within the region have had access to one or more of the assigned assets.

Graphs

Name Type Description
Access Duration XY A plot of the cumulative distribution of the access durations of all grid points. For each grid point, access intervals to each assigned asset are combined to determine the time intervals over which at least one asset has access to the grid point. The durations of these intervals, for all grid points, are then sorted from smallest to largest and the percentages are then plotted.
Coverage By Latitude XY A plot of the percent time covered vs latitude. A point is considered to be covered if it has access to one or more of the assigned assets. The reported values for each latitude are the average value for all grid points at that latitude.
GI Point Coverage Interval An Interval graph of the access intervals for the point currently selected by the grid inspector. The intervals represent the union of times that the grid point has access to any of the assets.
GI Point Prob Of Coverage XY A plot of the probability of coverage being achieved for the point selected in the grid inspector, as a function of the time past a request for coverage.

In other words, if you request coverage of the point now, what is the probability that you will have visibility to the point within the next hour, the next six hours or the next day?
