AdvCAT: Primary Ephemeris

Provides ephemeris and other information of the primary bodies as a function of time. Not restricted to conjuncting intervals.

Type: Time-varying data. Intended to be used only with elements from this same data provider.

Availability: Reports

Name Dimension Type Description
Ellipsoid - Tangential DistanceUnit Real Number The length of the primary object's ellipsoid at the given time in the tangential direction. The tangential direction lies along the object's inertial velocity.
Altitude DistanceUnit Real Number The altitude value (i.e., magnitude of the relative position vector between the object and its detic subpoint).
Ellipsoid - Normal DistanceUnit Real Number The length of the primary object's ellipsoid at the given time in the normal direction. The normal direction completes a triad involving the tangential and cross-track directions and is akin to the radial direction.
Ellipsoid - Middle DistanceUnit Real Number The length of the intermediate symmetry axis of the primary object's ellipsoid at the given time.
x DistanceUnit Real Number The X component of the position vector.
Concurrent Events Unitless Integer The number of secondaries experiencing a close approach event with the primary object at the given time.
y DistanceUnit Real Number The Y component of the position vector.
Ellipsoid - Min DistanceUnit Real Number The length of the shortest symmetry axis of the primary object's ellipsoid at the given time.
Ellipsoid - CrossTrack DistanceUnit Real Number The length of the primary object's ellipsoid at the given time in the cross-track direction. The cross-track direction lies along the object's orbit normal.
z DistanceUnit Real Number The Z component of the position vector.
vx Rate Real Number X Cartesian component of velocity.
Ellipsoid - Max DistanceUnit Real Number The length of the longest symmetry axis of the primary object's ellipsoid at the given time.
vy Rate Real Number Y Cartesian component of velocity.
Latitude LatitudeUnit Real Number The detic latitude (i.e., angle between the detic subpoint's surface normal vector and the XY plane.)
vz Rate Real Number Z Cartesian component of velocity.
Longitude LongitudeUnit Real Number The detic longitude (i.e., angle from the X-axis locating the projection of the detic subpoint's surface normal vector onto the XY plane.) Longitude increases in the direction found using the right-hand rule about the Z-axis.
NumberID Unitless Text The number identifier of the secondary object involved in the close approach event. If the object has no number identifier, then the value will be "Not Avail".
Pitch AngleUnit Real Number The pitch angle for the primary object's ellipsoid at the given time. The pitch angle locates the major axis of the ellipsoid from the plane whose normal is the cross-track direction.
Roll AngleUnit Real Number Roll angle between the two sets of axes. Defines rotation about the x-axis of the reference set, which occurs in order defined by placement of its index (1) in selected sequence in YPR angles representation.
SSC Unitless Integer The SSC identifier of the object experiencing a problem.
StringID Unitless Text The string identifier of the secondary object involved in the close approach event. If the object has no string identifier, then the value will be "Not Avail".
Time Since Epoch TimeUnit Real Number The difference between the event time and the primary object's epoch.
Yaw AngleUnit Real Number The yaw angle for the primary object's ellipsoid at the given time. The yaw angle locates from the tangential direction the projection of the major axis of the ellipsoid onto the plane whose normal is the cross-track direction.
Time DateFormat Real Number Time.
