CoverageDefinition

Name Description
Access Duration The time periods when the pointing directions (AttitudeCoverage) or grid points (CoverageDefinition) have access to the assigned assets.
All Regions By Pass The intervals of time when each asset can provide coverage to all regions in the coverage definition. The access start and end times in this data provider are computed based on the concatenation of the access intervals of the points within the regions. In addition to the access periods and associated assets, the percentage of the regions covered during each pass is also reported.
All Regions By Spliced Pass The intervals of time when each asset can provide coverage to all regions in the coverage definition. Reported intervals are generated by "splicing" together the access intervals from the contained points to remove coverage gaps resulting from a mismatch of the asset coverage area and the grid spacing. Access intervals from multiple grid points to a single asset are spliced if those intervals lie with the same line of sight interval from the asset to a region in the coverage definition.
Coverage By Asset Summarizes the coverage provided by individual assets.
Coverage Definition General information concerning the computational setup of the coverage definition.
Coverage Gap Duration The time periods of no access between the pointing directions (AttitudeCoverage) or grid points (CoverageDefinition) and the assigned assets.
Coverage by Latitude Coverage for each latitude in the selected range (-90 degrees to 90 degrees if Global Coverage is chosen), at intervals depending on the selected resolution. A point is considered to be covered if it has access to one or more of the assigned assets. The reported values for each latitude are the average value for all grid points at that latitude.

Global Coverage Time intervals during which every point in a coverage grid is covered. A point is considered to be covered if it has access to one or more of the assigned assets.
Global Coverage Gaps All time intervals during which at least one point in a coverage grid is in a coverage gap. A point is considered to be in a coverage gap if it does not have access any of the assigned assets.
Global Zero Coverage Time intervals during which no point in a coverage grid is covered. A point is considered to be covered if it has access to one or more of the assigned assets.
Grid Point Locations Geodetic positions of grid points and the finite areas represented by the grid points. Each grid point is centered in a latitude/longitude rectangle where the size of the rectangle is based on the requested grid resolution.
Partial Coverage Time intervals when at least one grid point has coverage. A point is considered to be covered if it has access to one or more of the assigned assets.
Percent Coverage The amount of the coverage grid which is covered as a function of time. A point is considered to be covered if it has access to one or more of the assigned assets.
Selected Point Coverage Access information for the point currently selected by the grid inspector.
Selected Point Daily Coverage Daily access summary information for the point currently selected by the grid inspector. Information is reported on a per day basis.
Selected Point Probability of Coverage The probability of coverage for the point selected in the grid inspector being achieved as a function of the time past a request for coverage. In other words, if you request coverage of the point now, what is the probability that you will have visibility to the point within the next hour, the next six hours or the next day. The probability that coverage is achieved at the instant of the request is the same as the percentage of time that the point is covered. Thus, if the point is covered 20% of the time, then the point will be covered at the time of request 20% of the time, which means that 20% of the time the wait for coverage will be zero. The point has a 100% probability of coverage at a time from request that equals the maximum coverage gap for the point. If the maximum coverage gap for a point is 30 minutes, then the worst case request for coverage would occur at the beginning of the 30 minute coverage gap. In that case, after 30 minutes have elapsed since the time of the request, you are guaranteed to have coverage of the point. A point is considered to be covered if it has access to one or more of the assigned assets.Images\pointProbabilityOfCoverage.jpg
Selected Region By Pass The intervals of time when each asset can provide coverage to the region selected by the grid inspector. The access start and end times in this data provider are computed based on the concatenation of the access intervals of the points within the region. In addition to the access periods and associated assets, the percentage of the region covered during each pass is also reported.
Selected Region By Spliced Pass The intervals of time when each asset can provide coverage to the region selected by the grid inspector. Reported intervals are generated by "splicing" together the access intervals from the contained points to remove coverage gaps resulting from a mismatch of the asset coverage area and the grid spacing. Access intervals from multiple grid points to a single asset are spliced if those intervals lie with the same line of sight interval from the asset to the region. This data provider is useful if the field of view for the assets is smaller that the overage definition grid spacing to avoid many short passes.
Selected Region Coverage The amount of the region selected by the grid inspector which is covered as a function of time. A region is considered to be covered if at least one point within the region has access to one or more of the assigned assets.
Selected Region Full Coverage The intervals of time when the region selected by the grid inspector is completely covered. The region is considered to be completely covered when all points within the region are covered.
Selected Region Partial Coverage The intervals of time when the region selected by the grid inspector is partially covered. A region is considered to be covered if at least one point within the region has access to one or more of the assigned assets.
Selected Region Time To Cover Provides a breakdown of how much time is required to achieve complete coverage of the region selected in the grid inspector. A region is considered to be completely covered if all points within the region have had access to one or more of the assigned assets.
Time To Cover By Region Minimum, maximum and average times required for the complete coverage of each region. A region is considered to be completely covered if all points within the region have had access to one or more of the assigned assets.
