A coordinate system attached to the central body and rotating with it. The z-axis is nominally along the rotation axis.

Name Dimension Type Description
Normal x Unitless Real Number First component of the unit vector along the normal to the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the x-axis of the reference coordinate system.
Normal y Unitless Real Number Second component of the unit vector along the normal to the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the y-axis of the reference coordinate system.
Normal z Unitless Real Number Third component of the unit vector along the normal to the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the z-axis of the reference coordinate system.
Slope AngleUnit Real Number The slope of the ground relative to the local horizontal plane. Zero indicates level ground. Value is independent of selected coordinate system.
Azimuth LongitudeUnit Real Number Dihedral angle between north vector and velocity vector about the detic nadir vector. The velocity vector is the velocity of the object, as observed in the object's central body fixed coordinate system.
