Satellite: Shadow LLA
The location of the object's shadow on
the object's central body surface, produced by the Sun at its
apparent position as computed at the object's location. Note that
the shadow point is defined as the intersection on the object's
central body the line emanating from the center of the apparent Sun
toward the object. Thus, the effects of the finite size of the Sun
are ignored. In addition, no light time delay is computed for the
light travelling between the object and the intersection
point.
