Getting Started With STK X

The STK Programming Interface help system includes several examples and printable PDF tutorials to help get you acquainted with building custom applications using our technologies.

Several code samples for automating, extending, and building custom applications in various programming languages are also included in the install.

Example Exercises

Three short exercises designed to illustrate some of the many applications of STK X are provided:

• Visual Studio Example. Use Visual Studio to embed STK controls in your custom application.
• HTML Example. Convert the STK SendAConnectCommand utility to an integrated utility containing a 3D window and an animation toolbar.
• PowerPoint Example. Add 3D graphics to a PowerPoint presentation using STK X.

Printable (PDF) Tutorials

Step-by-step tutorials to get you up and running with STK X are available in the programming languages listed below. The tutorials are in PDF format and therefore easily printable for your convenience.

Each tutorial walks you through the basic steps of setting up the project, adding STK X controls, sending commands to STK X, responding to user-created events and events raised by STK, and setting STK X properties, including customization of the splash panel.
