Anchor Point Eclipse Times
Generates a listing of all eclipse times. Eclipsing times are start and end of periods of partial lighting (penumbra) and periods of zero lighting (umbra).Available for these objects: LineTarget

Data Provider Elements
Name | Dimension | Type | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Start Time | Date | Real Number or Text | Start time of an interval. |
Stop Time | Date | Real Number or Text | Stop time of an interval. |
Duration | Time | Real Number | Duration of the interval. |
Obstruction | Unitless | Text | Name of the obstructing central body. |
Current Condition | Unitless | Text | Type of eclipsing event (Penumbra or Umbra) bounded by the start and stop times. |
Worst Condition | Unitless | Text | Maximum eclipse condition within the contiguous time period of partial illumination which contains the current interval. The contiguous time period of partial illumination may contain abutting and/or overlapping eclipse intervals from one or more eclipsing bodies. The worst condition may result from an eclipsing body different from the one associated with the current interval. For example, a period of penumbra due to the moon which has no associated period of umbra may overlap with a period of umbra due to the Earth and therefore report a worst condition of umbra. Useful for determining if a reported penumbra period leads to or follows an umbra period for the typical case of only Earth eclipsing. |
Total Duration | Time | Real Number | Total duration of the contiguous time period of partial illumination which contains the current interval. The contiguous time period of partial illumination may contain abutting and/or overlapping eclipse intervals from one or more eclipsing bodies. For the typical case of eclipsing by only the Earth, this represents the duration of the abutted penumbra-umbra-penumbra intervals. |
