Dynamic Control Trim Point
The Dynamic Control Trim Point site allows the dynamic control procedure to be the first procedure in a mission. This is the simple placement of the aircraft in space, with a course, velocity, flight path angle, and turn rate.
State | Description |
---|---|
Latitude | Set the Latitude of the aircraft. You can use a Waypoint or Relative site to set the Latitude position. |
Longitude | Set the Longitude of the aircraft. You can use a Waypoint or Relative site to set the Longitude position. |
Altitude | Set the Altitude of the aircraft. |
Course | Set the initial flight direction. This parameter is the same as the aircraft heading The direction that the aircraft is pointing. unless there is a wind setting specified. |
True Airspeed (TAS True Airspeed: the speed that the aircraft is moving relative to the airmass that it is flying in.) | Set the True airspeed for the trim. This parameter might differ from ECF velocity if there is a wind setting specified. |
Mode | Description |
---|---|
Flight Path Angle (FPA) | Set the Flight Path Angle of the aircraft. |
Turn Rate | Set the Turn Rate for the aircraft. You can set the parameter in Yaw-negative for a left turn and Yaw-positive for a right turn. This parameter is set in Degrees/sec. |
Don't update mission on OK or Apply
By default, Aviator recalculates the entire mission after you accept changes in any property window. You can constrain Aviator from automatically recalculating the mission in many property windows by selecting the Don't update mission on OK or Apply check box in that window. Selecting this option only constrains automatic recalculation for property changes in that window, allowing you to customize the recalculation performance of the mission to your preference.
Procedure Calculation
When you click OK or Apply, if the Don't update mission on OK or Apply is disabled, Aviator calculates the procedure and the trim happens. If the residual is not completed, Aviator sends a message.
