Defining the 2D Graphics Display of the Coverage Grid

You can define how the coverage grid displays in the 2D Graphics window by opening the 2D Graphics properties for the coverage definition of interest. The fields on the Attributes page allow you to specify grid attributes as well as the way in which the progress of coverage computations displays in the 2D Graphics window.

Displaying Grid Graphics

Static Graphics options enable you to view the outlines of the grid regions and/or locations of the grid points. Options are:

Static grid options

Field Value
ShowRegions If selected, the boundary of each coverage region displays in the 2D Graphics window. Regions are defined in the Grid page.
Show Region Labels If selected, the name of each coverage region displays in the 2D Graphics window. Regions are defined on the Grid page.
Show Points If selected, each grid point is shown in the 2D Graphics window as coverage computations are completed.
Color The color in which regions and points display in the 2D Graphics window.
Points

If Fill is enabled, coverage points or regions display as filled polygons in the 2D Graphics window. Use the % Translucency text field or slide control to set the translucency of the filled area. Translucency can be adjusted from 0 to 100 percent, where 100 percent is invisible.

If Fill is not selected, coverage points display using the Marker Style selected.

Marker Style If Fill is not selected, choose a marker to represent each point in the grid.

Displaying Satisfaction Graphics

Sarisfaction Graphics options enable you to view regions of the grid that satisfy multiple Figure Of Merit satisfaction criteria simultaneously during animation. Use Show Satisfaction to display or remove satisfaction graphics in the 2D Graphics window. If the Show Satisfaction option is enabled, graphics for the individual figures of merit are disabled during animation and only those areas that meet the satisfaction criteria of all associated figures of merit are highlighted. You can also select the Color and Translucency of the satisfaction graphics. Translucency can be adjusted from 0 to 100 percent, where 100 percent is invisible.

The Satisfaction option only works when Figure Of Merit subobjects exist and the Satisfaction option is enabled for one or more figures of merit.

If you select the Show Satisfaction option, it has the effect of overriding the Figure of Merit graphics (including accumulation settings) and highlighting those points that satisfy all Figures of Merit at the current time.

Displaying Progress Graphics for Access Computations

Progress of Access Computations options enable you to highlight the grid regions and points as accesses are being computed.

For small numbers of assets over short durations, graphics updates can be as time-consuming as the access computations. As a result, you may wish to disable the Progress graphics option to reduce the time needed to perform computations.

Use the Show option to display or remove the graphics for progression of coverage computations in the 2D Graphics window. You can also specify the Color you want to display for progress graphics. STK uses the Marker Style, or Filled Points option, specified in the Points field to represent points for Progress graphics.
