Volumetric 3D Graphics Legends

The Volumetric 3D Graphics Legends page is used to adjust the position of the legend display in the 3D Graphics windows, the width of the color bands, and the order in which the analysis levels are presented (maximum to minimum or vice versa).

You can display a Fill Legend, a Boundary Legend, or both. To display a legend, go to the appropriate tab and select Show Legend and define the following parameters:

Option Description
Legend Window Position

Define the pixel location for the upper left corner of the legend in the X and Y fields. The location 0,0 is the upper left corner of the 3D Graphics window. The pixel location is used to maintain the location of the legend regardless of the zoom level of the 3D Graphics window; this option can be used when printing to ensure that the legend is attached to the printed 3D Graphics window.

Translucency Use the slide control to set the translucency of the legend. Translucency can be adjusted from 0 to 100 percent, where 100 percent is completely invisible.
Background Color Choose the color to display as the background of the legend.
Text Options Options are:
  • Title - The text that you wish to display at the top of the legend.
  • Number of Decimal Digits - The number of digits that should be displayed to the right of the decimal point for real numbers.
  • Floating Point - Choices are Floating Point, Scientific (e), Scientific (E).
  • Color - select the color of text that is displayed in the legend.
Range Color Options The options available determine the height and width of the legend. The availability of these fields depends on the level order you choose. Fields are:
  • Level Order - Choose whether the legend displays vertically or horizontally and whether contour levels appear in ascending or descending order.
  • Max Color Squares per Row - The number of color bands to display in one row (depending on the level order you choose).
