SDF Server Details

You can add and manage connections to an STK Data Federate from the Data Services preferences page.

Adding an SDF connection

On the Data Serives page, highlight the SDF Servers type under Services and click Details.... In the SDF Servers dialog box, click the button to create an SDF connection. When you create a connection, the SDF Server Details window will appear; this window contains fields described in the following table:

Field Description
Name Enter the name of the connection; this field has no relation to the server name and can be any name that you want.
URL Enter the location of the server.
Port Enter the port used to connect to the server.
Description Write a description of the connection, if desired.
Authentication Credentials Enter your username and password to allow STK to open the connection. Select Save Username and Password to store this information in STK.

Managing SDF server connections

To set the selected connection to be the default SDF connection that you use, select Set as Default.

Click the button to view and edit the selected connection's properties in the SDF Server Details window, or select the Use check box to connect to the server.

Click the button to delete the selected connection.
