Sensor Location
Sensor Location properties enable you to position a sensor with respect to its parent object. Location can be defined using one of the following Location Types:
Location Type | Description |
---|---|
3D Model | The location of the sensor is defined using the sensor's Vertex Offset properties from the 3D Graphics properties of the sensor. Location is computed using the unscaled model (i.e., model scale of 0.0) regardless of what scale is actually selected for visualization. |
3D Model with Scale | The location of the sensor is defined using the sensor's Vertex Offset properties from the 3D Graphics properties of the sensor. Location is computed using the scaled model defined for visualization.
Using a scaled model may cause incorrect sensor computations. It is to be used for visualization effects only. |
Center | The sensor is located at the center of its parent object. This is a default option, which also replicates sensor positioning in previous versions of STK. |
Fixed | The location of the sensor is defined using a fixed displacement vector with respect to the parent object’s body frame. The displacement can be defined using either Cartesian or Spherical coordinates, which are in the sensor's parent body frame. |
Point | The location of the sensor is defined using a user-specified reference point. Click Select... to open the Select Reference Point window and choose the reference point. |
