3D Graphics Properties for STK Objects - Data Display

Use to display dynamic data for the specified object in the 3D Graphics window. This feature is useful when presenting information that requires both visual and textual data.

Name. List of dynamic display types.

Show. Displays the selected dynamic data in the 3D Graphics window and enables you to modify the location and font color.

Location. Specifies where the dynamic data is displayed:

  • 3D Window. Data is displayed directly in the 3D Graphics window.
  • Data Display Area. Data is displayed in an area attached to the 3D Graphics window. You also need to define the Data Display Area using the Annotation properties.
  • Offset from Object. Data is displayed at a specified X,Y position relative to the selected object.

To change the location, double-click it, click the down arrow, and select a new location from the drop-down menu.

Font Color. Specifies the font color for the data display area. To change the color, double-click it, click the down arrow, and select a new color from the Font Color menu.

Position

X Origin. Horizontal point of origin for the data display.

X. The actual value of X in pixels from the origin point.

Y Origin. Vertical point of origin for the data display.

Y. The actual value of Y in pixels from the origin point.

Appearance

Font Size. Small, Medium or Large font size.

Format. Displays information horizontally, vertically, or with no labels.

Title. Displays the title of the report. You can change the report title by overwriting the text in the Title field.

Show Object Name. Adds the object name to the beginning of the displayed report title.

If the text is not properly aligned in the 3D Graphics window, you may be using a variable-width font. To switch to a fixed-width font, go to the scenario's 3D Graphics Fonts page.

3D Windows

If you are using multiple 3D Graphics windows, choose to display the data in all (default) or selected 3D Graphics windows.

Background

Use. If selected, you can set the background color on which the data is displayed. Available only when location is 3D Window or Data Display Area.

Color. Specifies the background color for the data display area. To change the color, click the down arrow and select a new color.

Translucency. Use the slide control to set the translucency of the background color, border and image. Translucency can be adjusted from 0 to 100 percent, where 100 percent is completely invisible.

Border. Specifies the border color for the display area. To change the color, click the down arrow and select a new color.

Image. Specifies an image for background on which the data is displayed.

Width/Height. Specifies the width and height (in pixels) of the background. If Auto is disabled and the Width/Height values are too small, the report will be cropped to fit into the display area.
