Design Point
Design Point Selection | Design Point with Geometry
Hovering over a design point will display the information about that point. A selected point will show an orange design point tooltip.
Click the button in the lower right of the hover box to launch the Design Point dialog.
- Close the Design Point dialog by clicking the X in the upper right.
- Enter a design point number in the Design Point field to change to a new point's values, or hover over the field for up/down navigation arrows.
- Click the Go To Selected Point button to change the Design Point to the selected point.
- Click the Select Current Point button to make the current point the selected point.
If the Show full variable names box is checked, the full name of the variables will be shown:
Design Point Selection
A point can be selected in any plot; that same point will be automatically selected in any subsequent plots created from the same data set. The point can be unselected by clicking it again in any plot.
The selected point can also be formatted differently from the rest of the plot options by selecting the series identified as "Selection" in the list. The custom formatting is preserved if a new point is selected. However, custom formatting is not transferred to the selected point in different plots.
Design Point with Geometry
If a design point has geometry associated with it, the design tooltip will also display the geometry:
- Click the Download link to download a .stl file of the geometry point.
- Geometries can be created from STL, IGES, and STP formats. (IGES and STP formats will be translated into STL format.)
- Close the Design Point dialog by clicking the X in the upper right.
- Click in the Design Point field to enter a new design point to view or use the up/down arrow buttons to navigate.
- If the Show full variable names box is checked, the full name of the variables will be shown.
- Click the Go To Selected Point button to change the Design Point to the selected point.
- Click the Select Current Point button to make the current point the selected point.
Click the cube by each file variable or click the Geometry View tab to view a rendering of the geometry:
The geometry can be fully rotated by right-clicking in the window and dragging the geometry around.
The geometry controls appear in the left side of the geometry window. The controls will dim by default when there is no interaction.

On design points with multiple geometries present, an individual geometry can be selected from the drop-down menu in the upper left.
