Planes Choose System

Reports the selected plane and its velocity in a specified reference coordinate system. Both plane and coordinate system must be defined in the Vector Geometry Tool.

Available for these objects: Access, Aircraft, Antenna, AreaTarget, Facility, GroundVehicle, LaunchVehicle, LineTarget, Missile, Place, Planet, Radar, Receiver, Satellite, SatelliteCollection, Scenario, Sensor, Ship, Target, Transmitter

Type: Time-varying data.

Pre-data required: "<TruncObjectPath> <SystemName>" - e.g. "CentralBody/Earth Fixed"

Data Provider Groups

Any Plane component owned by the object is available for use, including user defined ones. Use the Analysis Workbench listing or the Report Manager->Report Content Properties tool to determine the actual set of components that can be used for a specific object.

Reference x	Distance	Real Number	First component of the displacement vector that locates the center of the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the displacement vector onto the x-axis of the reference coordinate system.
Reference y	Distance	Real Number	Second component of the displacement vector that locates the center of the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the displacement vector onto the y-axis of the reference coordinate system.
Reference z	Distance	Real Number	Third component of the displacement vector that locates the center of the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the displacement vector onto the z-axis of the reference coordinate system.
Magnitude	Distance	Real Number	Magnitude of the displacement vector that locates the center of the selected plane in the reference coordinate system.
Normal x	Unitless	Real Number	First component of the unit vector along the normal to the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the x-axis of the reference coordinate system.
Normal y	Unitless	Real Number	Second component of the unit vector along the normal to the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the y-axis of the reference coordinate system.
Normal z	Unitless	Real Number	Third component of the unit vector along the normal to the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the z-axis of the reference coordinate system.
1-Axis x	Unitless	Real Number	First component of the unit vector along the first axis of the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the x-axis of the reference coordinate system.
1-Axis y	Unitless	Real Number	Second component of the unit vector along the first axis of the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the y-axis of the reference coordinate system.
1-Axis z	Unitless	Real Number	Third component of the unit vector along the first axis of the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the z-axis of the reference coordinate system.
1-Axis Label	Unitless	Text	Label name for the first axis of the selected plane.
2-Axis x	Unitless	Real Number	First component of the unit vector along the second axis of the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the x-axis of the reference coordinate system.
2-Axis y	Unitless	Real Number	Second component of the unit vector along the second axis of the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the y-axis of the reference coordinate system.
2-Axis z	Unitless	Real Number	Third component of the unit vector along the second axis of the selected plane in the reference coordinate system. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the z-axis of the reference coordinate system.
2-Axis Label	Unitless	Text	Label name for the second axis of the selected plane.
Orientation q1	Unitless	Real Number	First element of quaternion (and of its vector part) representing orientation of the selected plane in the reference coordinate system.
