Vector Choose Axes

Reports the selected vector and its derivative in a specified reference set of axes. Both vector and axes must be defined in the Vector Geometry Tool.

Available for these objects: Access, Aircraft, Antenna, AreaTarget, Facility, GroundVehicle, LaunchVehicle, LineTarget, Missile, Place, Planet, Radar, Receiver, Satellite, SatelliteCollection, Scenario, Sensor, Ship, Star, Target, Transmitter

Type: Time-varying data.

Data Provider Groups

Any Vector component owned by the object is available for use, including user defined ones. Use the Analysis Workbench listing or the Report Manager->Report Content Properties tool to determine the actual set of components that can be used for a specific object.

x	DimensionOfVector	Real Number	First component of the selected vector, expressed in chosen axes. Defines projection of the vector onto the x-axis of the chosen axes.
y	DimensionOfVector	Real Number	Second component of the selected vector, expressed in chosen axes. Defines projection of the vector onto the y-axis of the chosen axes.
z	DimensionOfVector	Real Number	Third component of the selected vector, expressed in chosen axes. Defines projection of the vector onto the z-axis of the chosen axes.
Magnitude	DimensionOfVector	Real Number	Magnitude of the selected vector.
x/Magnitude	Unitless	Real Number	First component of the unit vector along the direction of the selected vector, expressed in chosen axes. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the x-axis of the chosen axes.
y/Magnitude	Unitless	Real Number	Second component of the unit vector along the direction of the selected vector, expressed in chosen axes. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the y-axis of the chosen axes.
z/Magnitude	Unitless	Real Number	Third component of the unit vector along the direction of the selected vector, expressed in chosen axes. Defines projection of the unit vector onto the z-axis of the chosen axes.
RightAscension	Longitude	Real Number or Text	Right ascension of the selected vector, i.e., the angle between the x-axis of the chosen axes and projection of the selected vector onto the xy-plane of the chosen axes. The angle is measured counterclockwise about the z-axis of the chosen axes.
Declination	Latitude	Real Number or Text	Declination of the selected vector, i.e., the angle between the direction of the selected vector its projection onto the xy-plane of the chosen axes. The angle is positive when the dot product of the selected vector with the positive z-axis of the chosen axes is positive.
Co-Declination	Angle	Real Number or Text	Co-Declination of the selected vector, i.e., the angle between the selected vector and z-axis of the chosen axes.
NegativeDeclination	Angle	Real Number or Text	Negative declination of the selected vector, i.e., the angle between direction of the selected vector its projection onto the xy-plane of the chosen axes. The angle is positive when the dot product of the selected vector with the negative z-axis of the chosen axes is positive.
DirectionAngle x	Angle	Real Number or Text	Angle between the selected vector and the x-axis of the chosen axes.

Derivative x	RateDimensionOfVector	Real Number	First component of the derivative vector, defined as the time rate of change of the selected vector in the chosen axes. Defines projection of the derivative vector onto the x-axis of the chosen axes.
Derivative y	RateDimensionOfVector	Real Number	Second component of the derivative vector, defined as the time rate of change of the selected vector in the chosen axes. Defines projection of the derivative vector onto the y-axis of the chosen axes.
Derivative z	RateDimensionOfVector	Real Number	Third component of the derivative vector, defined as the time rate of change of the selected vector in the chosen axes. Defines projection of the derivative vector onto the z-axis of the chosen axes.
Derivative Magnitude	RateDimensionOfVector	Real Number	Magnitude of the derivative vector, where the vector is defined as the time rate of change of the selected vector in the chosen axes.
