Vector Choose Plane

Reports projection of the selected vector and its derivative on a specified reference plane. Both vector and plane must be defined in the Vector Geometry Tool.

Available for these objects: Access, Aircraft, Antenna, AreaTarget, Facility, GroundVehicle, LaunchVehicle, LineTarget, Missile, Place, Planet, Radar, Receiver, Satellite, SatelliteCollection, Scenario, Sensor, Ship, Star, Target, Transmitter

Type: Time-varying data.

Pre-data required: "<TruncObjectPath> <PlaneName>" - e.g. "CentralBody/Earth Equator"

Data Provider Groups

Any Vector component owned by the object is available for use, including user defined ones. Use the Analysis Workbench listing or the Report Manager->Report Content Properties tool to determine the actual set of components that can be used for a specific object.

1-Axis Component	DimensionOfVector	Real Number	Component of the reference plane projection of the selected vector along the first axis of the reference plane.
2-Axis Component	DimensionOfVector	Real Number	Component of the reference plane projection of the selected vector along the second axis of the reference plane.
Magnitude	DimensionOfVector	Real Number	Magnitude of the selected vector.
Direction Angle	Angle	Real Number or Text	Angle between the first axis of the reference plane and the projection of the selected vector onto the reference plane. The angle is measured counterclockwise about the plane's normal.
Derivative 1-Axis Component	RateDimensionOfVector	Real Number	Time rate of change of the component of the reference plane projection of the selected vector along the first axis of the reference plane.
Derivative 2-Axis Component	RateDimensionOfVector	Real Number	Time rate of change of the component of the reference plane projection of the selected vector along the second axis of the reference plane.
Derivative Magnitude	RateDimensionOfVector	Real Number	Magnitude of the derivative vector, where the vector is defined as the time rate of change of the selected vector in the reference set of axes.
Derivative Direction Angle	Angle	Real Number or Text	Angle between the first axis of the reference plane and the planar vector that represents the time rate of change of the projection of the selected vector onto the reference plane. The angle is measured counterclockwise about the plane's normal.
