Comm CommSystem Compute

Calculates link and interference data for a Comm System (Deprecated Command)

Syntax

Comm <CommSysObjectPath> CommSystem Compute [NOW]

ATTENTION: THIS COMMAND IS DEPRECATED and has been replaced by:

CommSystem

Description

Note: This command was deprecated in STK 11, it should no longer be used. This command has been replaced by the CommSystem command.

The Comm CommSystem Compute command allows you to process link information and, if applicable, interference. When you select Compute, a two-phase process begins to generate the desired information. The first phase analyzes the visibility of the transmitters, receivers and interferers (if available) to each other to determine when they are accessible. Access calculations take into account any of the normal access constraints that may be applied to each of the objects. The second phase steps through the desired comm system interval, calculating the link performance. The first phase of calculations is completed rather quickly but the second phase can be lengthy, depending on the complexity of the comm system.

Warning: The Compute command may take some time to complete calculations, depending on the number of objects in the Comm System and the time interval selected.

Hint: You can force a compute by specifying the [NOW] parameter. Otherwise, this command will set the compute flag and the actual compute will be carried out later (e.g. before report generation).

Example

To force CommSystem1 to compute:

Comm */CommSystem/CommSys1 CommSystem Compute NOW

ReturnMessage

If activated, Connect returns an acknowledgement message.
