Release Notes
The STK Programming Interface provides the ability to integrate
with legacy systems, customize working environments to improve work
flows, and collaborate results with the enterprise.
What's New
This release introduces enhancements for the following
interfaces:
- STK Java API. The STK Java
API is a Java implementation specifically designed and developed by
AGI to support the STK development environment.
- STK Graphics. The STK
Graphics API allows users to access and manipulate STK globe
terrain and imagery, camera control, 3D models, triangle meshes,
surface polygons and polylines, text batches, screen overlays,
scene lighting, and raster and projection streaming. STK Graphics
is available in STK, using UI plugins, as well as in STK Engine
custom applications.
- STK Objects
Library. The STK Objects is a COM library containing types,
interfaces, events and classes representing various aspects of the
STK application structure. Components from the STK Objects library
can be used with STK as well as custom-built STK X-STK Engine
applications.
- Application Object Model. See AGI Ui Application and AGI Ui Core.
- Connect. The
Connect interface library enables you to connect third-party
applications to STK.
- STK X. The STK X library is
a COM library containing types, interfaces, events and classes that
allow developers to add advanced STK 2D, 3D visualization and
analytical capabilities to applications with little effort.
- AGI UI Plugins. User
interface (UI) plugins provide the capability to extend AGI
products at run-time.
- AGI VGT. The Vector Geometry
(VGT) API enables users define new or utilize existing geometric
constructs such as coordinate systems, vectors, points, angles,
axes and planes. The geometric elements can be used to transform
between coordinate systems, compute first and second derivatives,
or perform other types of analysis.
In addition, new C# and VB.Net code snippets are now provided
for common tasks using the STK Object Model. For more information,
see C# Code Snippets
or Visual Basic .NET
Code Snippets.
Note: Important information about the programming
interfaces, including new feature descriptions, migration
information, and fixed issues, is provided in the Release Notes of
the STK Help system, which is accessible from the STK Help
menu.
