OrbitalElementsTryConvertMeanAnomalyToTimeSincePreviousPeriapsis Method

Tries to convert the mean anomaly to the time of flight since the previous periapsis passage in seconds. The value returned is positive and, for closed orbits, periodic.

Namespace:  AGI.Foundation.Coordinates
Assembly:  AGI.Foundation.Core (in AGI.Foundation.Core.dll) Version: 24.2.419.0 (24.2.419.0)
Syntax
public static bool TryConvertMeanAnomalyToTimeSincePreviousPeriapsis(
	double meanAnomaly,
	double radiusOfPeriapsis,
	double eccentricity,
	double gravitationalParameter,
	out double timeSincePreviousPeriapsis
)

Parameters

meanAnomaly
Type: SystemDouble
The mean anomaly (radians).
radiusOfPeriapsis
Type: SystemDouble
The radius of periapsis.
eccentricity
Type: SystemDouble
The eccentricity of the orbit.
gravitationalParameter
Type: SystemDouble
The gravitational parameter of the central body being orbited.
timeSincePreviousPeriapsis
Type: SystemDouble
On return, the time since the previous periapsis passage.

Return Value

Type: Boolean
if eccentricity is negative or radiusOfPeriapsis or gravitationalParameter is negative or zero or if the orbit is open (parabolic or hyperbolic) and meanAnomaly is negative or zero; otherwise .
