Performance Model Wizard
The Performance Model Wizard () walks you through the creation of a new performance model that can be used when setting up an Aviator aircraft object. Each panel of the wizard allows you to select a performance model and edit the parameters for that performance model.
Not every single performance model is available through the Performance Model Wizard. We selected a smaller subset of Performance Models we thought most users would use. There are more performance models you can select by editing the Aircraft properties ().
Performance Model Wizard Panels
Each panel of the Performance Model Wizard allows you to select a model and customize the values just as you would if you were setting up the models individually. Here is a list of the panels you will customize when setting up a new performance model:
Panel | Description |
---|---|
Setup | Allows you to use the aircraft currently in use in the Mission Window or create a copy of that aircraft to create performance models. Setting as default causes Aviator to select the models created in the wizard as default or active when complete. |
Acceleration | You can select the Simple acceleration or a Basic Fixed Wing. |
Climb | You can set an AGI Basic Climb model, an AGI Climb model, or AGI Sequenced Climb model. |
Cruise | You can set an AGI Basic Cruise model or an AGI Cruise model. |
Descent | You can set an AGI Basic Descent model, an AGI Descent model, or an AGI Sequenced Descent model. |
Landing | You can set an AGI Basic Landing model. |
Takeoff | You can set an AGI Basic Takeoff model. |
When finished setting up all the properties and values you want, click Finish to create your new performance model. To find the new performance model, click the Aircraft () button in the Mission Window.
