Tools and Wizards

The Tools and Wizards sub-menu of the Mission List menu provides access to shortcuts and time-saving utilities that allow you to make quick modifications to procedures in your mission.

Shift / Rotate Procedures

Use the Shift / Rotate Procedures tool to modify the position or orientation of the currently selected procedures in their entirety.

Move Bearing/Range

To move the selected procedures, you can enter the Bearing and Range from the current location manually or you can click Paste to define them using values stored on the clipboard. In addition, you can calculate values for Bearing and Range by clicking Compute... and entering other values that you know, such as the target latitude and longitude, in the window that appears. Click OK to accept the calculated values and return to the tool window.

Switch Point to Point Procedure Type

Use the Switch Point to Point Procedure Type tool to change a point to point procedure - Enroute, Basic Point to Point, or Terrain Following - into another point to point type; any setting that does not need to be changed to accommodate the new procedure type will be preserved.

Reverse Point to Point Procedure Order

The Reverse Point to Point Procedure Order tool computes reverse versions of all of the currently selected point to point procedures and copies them to the clipboard. You can use this tool to automatically create a return flight path along the original outbound route and then paste it into your mission, for example.

Procedure Time Options

The Procedure Time Options wizard provides shortcuts to several procedure time controls. Refer to the Procedure Time topic for more information about the actions that these shortcuts perform.

Add Parallel Flight Lines

Use the Add Parallel Flight Lines tool to insert a series of Parallel Flight Line procedures, if the currently selected procedure is valid to precede that procedure.

Use Attitude Reference for Mission / Use Normal Mission Attitude

Click this command to change the attitude calculations of the mission. The Attitude Reference method is the simple attitude computed by the procedures, while the Normal Mission Attitude is the complete attitude, taking into account the performance model limitations of the aircraft.
